In an effort to provide our area 2nd year Pioneers and Patriots* with more High Adventure opportunities, we have decided to offer a Pioneer/Patriot High Adventure Camp option for this year's AHG Southwest Summer Camp. 2nd year Pioneers/Patriots will have the opportunity to experience 5 High Adventure activities in lieu of badge work during their week at camp. While the girls will not earn any one High Adventure badge, they will complete requirements during their planned activities. Girls will still participate in on-site camp activities including daily devotions, meals (excluding lunch), camp service project, leadership activities and nightly entertainment.
It is our hope that the experiences the girls share during High Adventure Camp will become memories that last a LIFETIME!
*Priority registration for High Adventure Camp will go to Patriots and after March 24th, it will open for 2nd-year Pioneers at the cost of the difference between the two camps.

2022 Southwest Summer Camp Activities
DAILY DEVOTIONS
Each day will begin with devotionals designed to bring the girls closer to the Lord through object lessons, group discussions, and praise/worship, which will focus on the Women of Faith Badge.

FREE TIME
Each day, the girls will have free time in the afternoon to choose which activities they would like to engage in. Some of the activities available include: rest and relaxation time, individual devotions, reading, archery or shooting practice, basketball, sand volleyball, soccer or kickball on one of the two sports fields, playground and swings, guided hike, game room, outdoor games, arts and crafts in the art room, and so much more!!

SERVICE PROJECT
All girls will participate in a service project benefitting the hosting camp. Service projects may vary and can include such tasks as grounds maintenance, painting, building, and cleaning. We perform service to our host camp to show our appreciation for the use of their facilities.
NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT
Craft Night: an evening of arts and crafts including good, old camp favorites as well as new, innovative projects
Game Night: an evening of group games that can vary from popular board games to outdoor favorites to new and exciting games with an unexpected twist
Worship Night: an evening dedicated to worshiping the Lord through song with karaoke and a live worship band (when available)
Messy Night: an evening of wet, messy fun for all... a yearly camp favorite!
Camp Fire Program: an evening capping off our week of fun with a traditional AHG camp fire including s'mores, skits, songs, flag retirement, and ashes ceremony

LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Girls will be given chances to exercise and increase their leadership skills throughout the week during daily opening and closing flag ceremonies, group work and game times, and during structured leadership skills training exercises aimed at helping the girls become effective leaders for Christ.
