AHG Southwest Summer Camp is 100% volunteer lead! Without volunteers, this camp would not be possible.
Filled Positions:
Assistant Camp Director: High Adventure Camp
The High Adventure Camp Assistant Director will aid the Camp Director in working directly with the girls, camp staff and community partners for all high-adventure activities both on and off-site, ensuring proper AHG ratios are maintained at all times, girls and adults engage in appropriate behavior and adhere to AHG and Camp policies, and provide correct discipline when needed - Assistant will remain with girls at all high adventure activities.

Assistant Camp Director: Day Camp
The Day Camp Assistant Director will aid the Camp Director in working directly with the Day Camp girls and adults, other camp staff, and community partners for all on-site Day Camp activities, ensuring proper AHG ratios are maintained at all times, camp schedules are followed, girls and adults engage in appropriate behavior and adhere to AHG and Camp policies, and provide correct discipline when needed - Assistant will remain on-site during all camp activities and will be responsible for daily check-in/check-out of all Day Camp participants.

Camp Shepherd
The Camp Shepherd will be responsible for covering the leadership team, volunteers, and campers in prayer during camp planning, travel to and from camp, and throughout the camp week. The Camp Shepherd will also be responsible for daily prayers at camp, providing spiritual guidance and support to girls and adults during camp, assisting in positive Christ-centered discipline, and aiding in biblical conflict resolution as needed.

Assistant Camp Director: Resident Camp
The Resident Camp Assistant Director will aid the Camp Director in working directly with the Resident Camp girls, camp staff and community partners for all on-site Resident Camp activities, ensuring proper AHG ratios are maintained at all times, camp schedules are followed, girls and adults engage in appropriate behavior and adhere to AHG and Camp policies, and provide correct discipline when needed - Assistant will remain on-site during all camp activities.
VOLUNTEER NEEDED
Assistant Camp Nurse
The Assistant Camp Nurse will provide help to the Camp Nurse including handling any first aid needs, distributing medications, and emergency response. Will act as Camp Nurse if Primary Nurse is called away from camp.
*Certified RN or Nurse experience preferred - Please help us out!*

VOLUNTEER NEEDED
Service Project Lead
The Service Project Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the camp service project including: providing a materials list with cost to Camp Director, assisting in soliciting donations as needed, project implementation, supervision of the girls and leaders, safety during project, and communicating with hosting camp once project is completed to ensure satisfaction.

Daily Operations Leads
The Daily Operations Leads will be responsible for all daily operation tasks including: meal set-up and clean-up, mess hall "crowd control", opening and closing flag ceremony, camp grace before meals, camper chores, shower schedule for girls, cabin checks, and final camp sweep. Daily Operations Leads will make sure daily functions of camp flow smoothly by assisting the Camp Directors.

Camp Security
Camp Security volunteers will be responsible for ensuring the safety of camp by helping to watch the camp grounds, being our "eyes in the sky" for inclement weather or natural hazards and point of contact for camp security

Camp Store Lead
The Camp Store Lead will be responsible for all Camp Store operations including: ensuring the store is clean and organized, product is available and informing Camp Director when more product is needed, pre-purchased items are provided to the proper individuals, scheduling and overseeing Pioneers/ Patriots that man the store during free-time hours, and making sure cash is properly handled and accounted for each day.

High Adventure Instructors & Assistants
High Adventure Instructors & Assistants will be responsible for assisting the girls during high adventure and camp activities both on and off-site. Instructors will be responsible for teaching and/or monitoring community partners teaching aspects of badges that coincide with scheduled activities. Instructors will be provided a complete lesson plan for the badge(s) including what requirements will be/were completed and what requirements will need to be completed prior to camp if needed.

Badge Instructors & Assistants
Badge Instructors & Assistants will be responsible to assisting girls during badge work and camp activities.
